Scope

BS 3G 100-2.3.3 gives details of mould growth tests to be applies to materials and components used in aircraft equipment to determine that they are inherently resistant to mould growth. It does not relate to mycological tests on such hydrocarbons as aircraft fuels, oil, etc.


 

 

Purpose

BS 3G 100-2.3.3 details a short exposure test (28 days) to assess the extent of mould growth, and a long exposure test (84 days) to assess the effect of mould growth on the performance of aerospace equipment, materials and components in aircraft.
