Scope

BS 3G 100-2.3.4 describes tests to evaluate the effects of various pressure differential effects upon components or equipment used in aircraft. Three differential tests are stated each of which has a specific field of application. The relevant equipment specification will prescribe the test(s) to be used and also the appropriate functional checks.

Purpose

BS 3G 100-2.3.4 details tests for three types of differential pressure conditions: excess pressure, rapid decompression and explosive decompression.
