Proposed withdrawal of BS 7021:1989 Code of practice for thermal insulation of roofs externally by means of sprayed rigid polyurethane (PUR) or polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam

Scope

BS 7021 gives recommendations for the thermal insulation of roofs externally by spraying with PUR or PIR foam, and their subsequent protection by means of a protective membrane applied in liquid form.

 

Purpose

BS 7021 covers the spraying of existing and new roofs, the procedure of application, protective membranes as well as health and safety and fire performance information for optimised use of PUR or PIR foam.
