Standards Development
This Part 2 of EN 12899 specifies requirements and test methods for new Traffic bollards (transilluminated and retroreflective bollards) including their fixing, which may incorporate traffic signs (type 1 Transilluminated Traffic Bollards) or may support traffic signs (type 2 Transilluminated Traffic Bollard) to be used in traffic circulation areas It covers a number of performance requirements (e.g. visual performance and performance under static and dynamic loading).
This standard does not cover:
• foundations
The EN 12899 series is composed of:
-3 product standards (EN 12899-1, EN 12899-2 and EN 12899-3)
- 2 testing and control standards (EN 12899-4 and 12899-5)
The aim of the revision is:
- to technically update the standard series
- to merged testing and control standards into each product standard
- to split the EN 12899-1 into 4 different parts (EN 12899-1-1, EN 12899-1-2, EN 12899-1-3, and EN 12899-1-4)
- Adaptation to the CPR
