ISO/NP 8149 Unplasticized polyamide (PA-U) pipes — Effect of time and temperature on the expected strength)

Scope

This International Standard specifies the minimum values for expected strength as a function of time and temperature in the form of reference lines, for use in calculations on pipes made of: - unplasticized Polyamide (PA-U 180). Note: PA-U 180 follows ISO 16486-1 and covers both PA-U11 180 and PA-U12 180

Purpose

In general, there is a market need from costumers for a standard with minimum values for expected strength as a function for time and temperature for use in calculations on pipes made of unplasticized Polyamide, as they ask for this standard to minimize the risk and to maximize the quality for the PA system, because of the high operating pressures in urban areas.
