Adoption of a NWI EN 12897-2 Water supply – Part 2: Corrosion protection by enamelling and cathodic protection – Requirements and testing

Scope

This document specifies requirements for the enamelling of steel tanks (including fittings) and for cathodic corrosion protection on the inside of the tank.

Purpose

In the context of the sustainability debates (including the circular economy), the lifetime of products is becoming increasingly important. It is therefore also necessary to formulate design guidelines for steel-enameled storage tanks with regard to enamel and cathodic corrosion protection.

Note: in case the WI is based on documents from other organizations than ISO/IEC, please specify it here
