Revision of EN 13832-1:2018 Footwear protecting against chemicals - Part 1: Terminology and test methods

Scope

This European Standard specifies test methods for the determination of the resistance of footwear against selected chemicals for the following circumstances: splashing, degradation, and permeation. 

Purpose

The serie of standards EN 13832 part 1 to 3 defines the properties of footwear especially designed to protect against chemicals. However before to be chemically protective, the footwear shall be either safety (EN ISO 20345) or protective (EN ISO 20346) or occupational (EN ISO 20347).

These 3 reference standards have recently been revised. the update of the EN 13832 serie is therefore necessary
