Standards Development
• The Scope of the standard will not be changed by the proposed amendment.
• The standard provides descriptions and illustrations of types of work on glass. The main processes, comprising cutting, obscuring and the various decorating processes are described.
• Section 7 on bending is out-of-date and should be updated with the latest information from the relevant ISO standards on curved glass. The GGF datasheets on curved glass may also be a useful reference source.
Under the direction of the Standards Policy & Strategy Committee is responsible for the UK input into CEN/TC 129 and ISO/TC 160, their related sub-committees and working groups in the development of Standards for Glass and Glazing in Buildings.
