CEN/TC 286/WG 7 points out the lack of design and manufacturing standards within CEN/TC 286 despite real cases of logistics incidents.
Considering the variety of cylinders, operations and racks (cages) in Europe, CEN/TC 286
proposed to develop a technical document gathering the best operations and control practices
on cylinders transportation racks before and during loading and unloading prior to the vehicles
going on the road.
The purpose of the document is to provide guidance on how to avoid cylinders and racks to
escape the trucks.
