It is applicable to industrial and rough-terrain lorry-mounted trucks (as defined in ISO 20297-1). It is also applicable to such trucks operating under the same conditions when equipped with loadhandling attachments.
Standards covereing safety requirements and user requirement for lorry-mounted trucks are being developed in ISO/TC 110/SC 4/WG 9 in the series, ISO 20297. This document, which is to be used with ISO 20297-1 to define stability is part of a broad series of standards for truck stability under the ISO 22915 series, and Part 23 for lorry-mounted trucks fills the gap for these unique products. The development of this standard is further supported/justified by Resolution 47:2012 (SC 4 doc. N0256) from the Sydney Plenary meeting.
