Scope

The scope of the revision is to bring the standard in accordance with current laboratory experiences and to coordinate the standard with ISO EN 12572

Purpose

The test method described in EN 1931 needs to be updated to current laboratory experiences.

There is a parallel standard, ISO EN 12572, which has the same purpose as EN 1931. Tests performed according to ISO EN 12572 should be coordinated with EN 1931.

Climate changes should be taken into account in the test standard by performing tests at higher temperatures than the standard temperature of 23 degree C
