Scope

As scope for TS 15502-3-2, the scope of prEN 15502-2-2:2022 applies, with the following modification: Replace ak) by the following: ak) appliances that are intended to burn natural gases of the second family where hydrogen is added to the natural gas, except for non premixed / partial premixed appliances equipped with a PGS (which are covered by this document)

Purpose

The TS 15502-3-2 expands the scope of the EN 15502-2-2 to include H2NG-Y20 gas-fired central heating boilers using a pneumatic gas supply (PGS) control. This TS covers the requirements needed for non-premixed / partial premixed appliances equipped with a Pneumatic Gas Supply (PGS) control that are intended to be connected to gas grids for natural gases of the second family where up to 20% hydrogen volume is added to the natural gas (H2NG-Y20). Only H2NG appliances are covered provided that the maximum amount of hydrogen is limited to 20% by volume (Y=20). The TS 15502-3-2 is to be used in conjunction with both EN 15502-2-2 and EN 15502-1.
