CIB for Adoption of a NWI for revising EN 15626:2016 Bitumen and bituminous binders - Determination of adhesivity of cut-back and fluxed bituminous binders by water immersion test - Aggregate method

Scope

This European Standard specifies a method for the determination of the adhesivity of cut-back and fluxed bituminous binders coated onto aggregate when immersed in water.

Purpose

The purpose of this anticipated revision is to align the test method with improvement brought in recently published EN 13614:2021 "Determination of adhesivity of bituminous emulsions by water immersion test" and also to apply the correct metrological terminology for the measuring devices accuracy.

The NWI adoption is issued further CEN/TC 336/WG 2 recommendation made during the meeting hold on 2023-04-3&4 in Madrid to revise this test method (Recommendation 03/2023 in N255) and request to adopt a NWI.

The scope of the revision is well defined and limited and the pre-work already done allows to bypass any preliminary stage. Moreover the scope of the standard will not be affected.
