Scope

This amendment specifies the requirements for integrated recovery in a new chapter of standard EN 1909. It will aim at defining the concept of integrated recovery, and defining shared principles enabling to implement and justify this concept in an acceptable way.

Purpose

According to CEN/TC242 decision 2023/01 (Standardization of the topic of integrated recovery), EN 1909:2017 “Safety requirements for cableway installations designed to carry persons - Recovery and evacuation” must be amended to include integrated recovery. The scope may require adaptation to incorporate integrated recovery.
