Scope

This document specifies the requirements for design, manufacture and installation of metal bellows expansion joints with circular cross section for pressure applications with maximum allowable pressure greater than 0,5 bar.

Purpose

As there are some errors and inconsistencies in EN 14917:2021, an amendment is necessary. There were comments by different users of EN 14917:2021 concerning small errors in equations and text as well as a too conservative calculation of inplane instability because of using wrong allowable stresses.
