Decision 5/2023: NWIP for revision of EN 15276-1:2019

Scope

This document specifies requirements and test methods for condensed aerosol extinguishing system components.

This document covers the use of condensed aerosol extinguishing systems for total flooding applications.

This document in not applicable to explosion suppression applications.

This document does not cover all legislative requirements. In certain countries specific national regulations apply and take precedence over this doapplicability for this document by their national responsible authorities.

Purpose

The ISO and EN code are consistent as concept, the code architecture is different (ISO is one only, EN is divided into 2 parts) but the requirements are consistent as the testing protocols, except minor differences in some parameters. The main scope of the revision will be rendering more consistent the requirements within the two EN and ISO codes and exploring the opportunity to introduce a new fire risk related to the use of Lithium Polymers Batteries.
