ISO/NP 6781-2, Performance of buildings - Detection of heat, air and moisture irregularities in buildings by infrared methods - Part 2: Equipment classification, description and requirements

Scope

This part of ISO 6781 provides a means by which a person or entity, wishing to use infrared thermographic services for buildings, can understand and specify the types, capabilities and condition of equipment that are used in order to obtain valid and useful application-specific results. It is important for end users, and recipients of thermographic services, to understand that the type of equipment used may differ greatly depending on the particular application: Residential, Commercial or Institutional.

Purpose

This project is started to re-establish a previously canceled work item.

This standard provides detailed requirements for specifiers and practitioners of thermography as related to the equipment required for conducting thermographic investigations of residential, commercial and institutional buildings to discern building heat, air and moisture anomalies.
