Purpose

The revision of EN13796-1:2017 will take into account:

- the remarks made during the 5-year systematic review (CEN/TC242/N1162),

- the comments from DIN made during the formal vote on the 2015 version of the standard (CEN/TC242/N986),

- the amendment proposals on the risk of jamming (CEN/TC242/N1084),

- and the proposals from CEN/TC242/WG15 (CEN/TC242/N1146) concerning the safety of workers.

This New Work Item Proposal is consistent with CEN/TC242 Decision No. 2022/06.
