Scope

This document specifies the safety requirements applicable to all installations.

In particular, it will include new requirements for better taking into account the effects of wind.

It will also include new requirements relating to the prevention of accidents and the protection of workers.

Purpose

The revision of EN12929-1:2015 will take into account the remarks made during the 5-year systematic review (CEN/TC242/N1077), the proposals of the ad hoc group (CEN/TC242/N1168) and those of CEN/TC242/WG15 (cf;CEN/TC242/N1146 which prefigures the final proposals from WG15 concerning the safety of workers.

This New Work Item Proposal is consistent with CEN/TC242 decision No. 2022/03. The results of N1077 were mostly already considered with EN 12929-1-2015-FprA1 (WI 00242065).

Additionally undated references to other standards will be replaced with dated references to fulfil the EC request accordingly (see N1122, 7c).
