Scope

Amendment of requirements and design for use of non-fluorinated foam agents.

Purpose

The European Commission is working on restrictions concerning the use of fluorochemicals. This will affect also currently used and common fire fighting foam agents (AFFF). The ongoing change and phase out of fluorinated foam agents (AFFF) to non-fluorinated foams requires a revision of the corresponding standards where these foams are getting applied.
