Scope

This part of IEC 62453, which is a technical specification, specifies how the common FDT principles are implemented based on the CLI technology and web technologies for graphical user interfaces. The specification includes the object behavior and object interaction via .NET standard interfaces and JavaScript APIs. Emphasis has been placed on support of distributed Frame Application architectures.

Purpose

This document aims to provide the requirements for implementing FDT based on CLI and HTML
technology so that organizations can sustainably implement such software and guarantee
interoperability. The document provides normative provisions associated with specific use cases for
device operations.

Initially, the document was planned to be published as TR (see 65E/834/Q), but since it specifies
normative provisions, the document shall be published as TS.
