Scope

This document specifies the company codes for cutting tool data representation and exchange. It specifies a reference dictionary and the structure of company codes.

Purpose

ISO/TS 13399-60:2014, 6.4.2 gives the requirements to create the codes for manufacturers specific inserts, to support cutting tool data exchange.

It is needed to display and maintain a complete list with the codes of the companies related to cutting tools. This information is essential for data exchange.

It is proposed to create a new part to the ISO/TS 13399 series to list all the company codes.
