This 9564.5 NWIP is re-proposed as there were issues with balloting times such that nations were counted as abstaining, despite their voting for approval of the work item.
While high-level requirements are given in 9564-1, there are no specifications or guidance methods for generating PINs, PIN change, PIN verification. This work effort aims to provide such standardization using 16-byte block ciphers.
The WG13 would like to ask ballot participants if they have experience/knowledge of AES-based PIN offset calculation methods, that they would consider for inclusion?
