Scope

This document specifies the analytical procedure for the determination of silver with a nominal content of and above 990 ‰ (parts per thousand), including alloys described in ISO 9202.

Purpose

Silver in jewellery alloys is typically performed in the precious metal industry by Volumetric (potentiometric) method. This method allows to determine all elements in a precious metal alloy with one method at the same time and is less influenced by other elements.
