Scope

Same scope as in EN 89:2015

Purpose

In 2015, CEN/TC 48 has taken the decision to draft an amendment to EN 89/2015 in order to take into account the comments made by the CEN Consultant at the formal vote step. In the meanwhile the implementation of the “ Gas appliances Regulation 426/2016/UE (GAR) has made progress and some modifications have to be made to this standard in order to fulfil the CEN rules and to be published as Harmonized standard.

This is the reason why it is suggested to directly initiate the revision of EN 89 and to give up the drafting of amendments.

The objective of the revision will be:

- to incorporate the modifications suggested in the draft amendment A1:2015

- to implement the consultant comments, given in the assessments ( 2016 and 2017) and as discussed during the 2nd February meeting with EC, CEN CCMC and CEN/TC 48 Chairman and secretariat

- to take into account some technical and editorial comments
