ISO/NP 19880-2 Gaseous hydrogen — Fuelling stations — Part 2: Dispensers and dispensing systems Note:

Scope

This document describes the safety requirements and test methods for the components and systems that enable the transfer of compressed hydrogen to a hydrogen vehicle as addressed in ISO 19880-1 by a hydrogen dispenser with dispensing pressures up to the H70 pressure class.

Purpose

Project 19880-2 had a successful DIS ballot, but was suspended in December 2017 pending the publication of its master standard 19880-1 and the consensus-building on some outstanding issues. Now that 19880-1 is published and more fuel cell vehicles are on the road, the need for a dispenser standard has increased significantly. There is more experience with dispensing hydrogen in the industry as well. Thus it is time to reopen the project and proceed to publication. The project will be started from a DIS ballot.
