ISO/NP 19067 Building and civil engineering sealants — Determination of changes in colour after laboratory accelerated weathering procedures

Scope

The document specifies a method for the determation of the changes in colour of sealants after laboratory accelerated weathering procedures using artificial light sources.

Purpose

The needs of colourful sealants to fulfill creative building designs is designer's desires nowadays. However, some of those various colourings might get faded or colour changing under weathering aging like UV light, high temperature and high humidity. The time of that fading might be several months. Colour change problems might cause huge labor cost and material loss, delaying hand-over time, undersirable reputation of constructor, etc. So it is necessary to build a test method for evaluating the colour stability of sealants.
