PNW 34A-2307 ED1: Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) light sources for general lighting - Safety - Part 2-4: Particular requirements - Rigid OLED tiles and panels

Scope

This part of IEC 62868 specifies the safety requirements for organic light emitting diode (OLED) tiles and panels for use on supplies up to 120 V ripple free DC for indoor and similar general lighting purposes. This document covers the safety requirements for rigid type OLED tiles and panels. Flexible OLED tiles and panels are specified in IEC 62868-2-3.

NOTE: The construction of OLED tiles and panels is illustrated in Annex A.

Purpose

There is a strong market request (need) for solid-state lighting solution, for example LED and OLED lighting. However, the current IEC structure for OLED is not proper because the particular standard for the OLED tiles and panels is missing. This document proposes to establish the isolated standard for the OLED tiles and panels to rectify the current OLED standard structure.
