Scope

This part of ISO 20342 specifies test methods for determining the durability of an APTI. It is intended to help differentiate the durability characteristics between APTIs. It is not intended for determining overall performance or for ranking or scoring of such APTIs

Purpose

To provide direction for testing and dissemination of critical performance characteristics of a APTIs which will aid in selection and application of APTIs to improve the interaction between the APTI and the occupant. This will improve caregivers ability to maintain tissue integrity.
