PNW TS 113-692 ED1: IEC TS 62565-4-4 ED1, Nanomanufacturing ? Material specifications ? Part 4-4: Quantum dots light conversion films (QLCF) - Blank detail specification (BDS)

Scope

This part of IEC 62565 establishes a blank detail specification and format for listing the relevant key control characteristics (KCC) including physical, mechanical, optical properties and stability of quantum dot enabled light conversion films (Q-LCFs) used in the field of nano-enabled photoelectric display.

For each KCC listed, measurement methods and existing standards are reported. The parameter indexes of each KCC to be specified in this document are intentionally left blank and are determined by agreement between cunstomer and supplier. Properties and characteristics deemed by the customer or supplier as not relevant to a specific application shall classified as "not applicable" or "not specified.

Purpose

After years of technological development and market expansion, quantum dot display has developed into an important development direction of new display industry. Quantum dot l ight conversion film is the core component of quantum dot new photoluminescence display. Its excellent spectral characteristics and high luminous efficiency significantly improve the color performance of display device. Various key characteristics of quantum dot light conversion film, such as physical, mechanical, optical characteristics and reliability, will affect the application performance of quantum dot display device. The high -quality development of quantum dot new photoluminescence display technology and industry requires the whole industry and all links of upstream and downstream of the industrial chain to have a clear and correct understanding of the key control characteristics of quantum dot light conversion film and quantum dot materials, and both the supplier and the demander agree on the detection methods and indicators of key characteristic parameters of products that are concerned and evaluated during product delivery.

This standard proposal of technical specification responds to the urgent nee ds of industrial development based on widely industrial application prospect, which has distinct standardization object and feasible technical content. The proposed project was approved as PWI at IEC/TC113 Shanghai autumn meeting in Nov. 2019, and was invited to circulate NP voting at autumn meeting in Nov. 2021. The technical field of this proposal belongs to IEC/TC 113 /WG10: Luminescent nanomaterials.
