Amendment to consider airflow limitation and CVP in EN 14825 to ensure that the standard remains harmonized.
The amendment will also update the dates for references to EN 14511:2022; and the alignment of 14825:2022, clause 11.3 with 14511-3:2022 will be checked, errors in the FV version that are not corrected by CCMC, shall be corrected in the amendment, if not corrected in a corrigendum.
The incoming changes in the revised regulation (EU) 206/2012 for testing air-to-air air-conditioners and heat pumps introduce the airflow limitation to make sure thermal comfort is considered, and the controls verification procedure (CVP) to certify the compliance of testing of units covered by EN 14825 by market surveillance.
As such, airflow limitation and CVP need to be considered and included in EN 14825 to ensure that the standard remains harmonized. Following should be considered:
1) airflow limitation requirements for testing of air-to-air units: describe the measuring methodology for calorimeter and enthalpy test rooms, specify tolerances and airflow limit calculations based on rated capacity etc.
2) controls verification procedure (CVP) for all systems in scope of EN 14825: describe the controls verification procedure methodology for calorimeter and enthalpy test rooms, specify tolerances considering existing international standards such as JIS B 8616 and AHRI 1230.
