Scope

This document specifies minimum performance requirements for self-contained open-circuit compressed air breathing respiratory protective devices (RPD) with full face mask , except escape device and diving device.

This document specifies optional requirements regarding the interchangeability of cylinder-valveassemblies with a single cylinder for self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).

Laboratory and practical performance tests are included for the assessment of compliance with the requirements.
