CEN/TC 126 N 1377, Energy performance of buildings - Indoor environmental parameters - Part 1.5; Design criteria and assessment of acoustic performance

Scope

This document deals with the indoor environmental parameters relative to acoustics. This document includes design criteria for acoustic performance relative to air systems in buildings. This document does not specify design methods but gives input parameters for the design and operation of technical building systems including their controls that could cause noise. Table 1 shows the relative position of this standard within the set of EPB standards in the context of the modular structure as set out in EN ISO 52000-1

Purpose

The CEN TC156 revises the EN 16798 Energy performance of buildings - Inddor environmental parameters and several TC are involved of the ork, each for its specific domain. CEN/TC126 will draft the part 5, which is about acoustics. It is proposed that this new standard will be refered as EN 16798-5 Energy performance of buildings – Indoor environmental parameters – Part 1.5: Design criteria and assessment of acoustic performance and be part of EN 16798 series.
