PNW 46A-1563 ED1: COAXIAL COMMUNICATION CABLES-Part 1-127: Electrical test methods - Link loss of radiating cable

Scope

This part of IEC 61169 provides test method for link loss of radiating coaxial communication cables. This document is applicable to radiating coaxial communication cables .

This document specifies scope, terms and definitions, test equipments, test arrangements, test conditions, test methods, requirement, and test report.

Purpose

High-speed The purpose of this part of IEC 61196 is to develop a new test method for radiating cables- the test for link loss.

With the rapid development of mobile communication, radiation cable has been widely used in high-speed railway, subway, airport, station, industrial internet of things, automatic sorting system, intelligent processing equipment and other environments where conventional antenna transmission is not satisfactory or even impossible.

In order to realize the long distances transmission, the uniform radiating type cables have been developed. Different from traditional radiating cables, the radiating powers from these cables are almost equal, while their attenuation and coupling loss are gradually changing along its length, so attenuation and coupling loss can't be used to express the radiating characteristics of these cables, but link loss will be used to express the radiating characteristics of these cables.

The purpose of this part of IEC 61196 is to develop a new test method for radiating cables - the test for link loss.
