Scope

This standard specifies the general requirements and test methods for leaky waveguides with hollow metallic tube. It includes scope, terms and definitions, ratings and characteristics, general requirements, test methods, etc.

Purpose

The purpose of this proposal is to establish a generic specification for Leaky waveguides.

Leaky waveguides are widely used 4G and 5G wireless network, such as track-to-train communication, video surveillance, telemetry , in-train TV ,communications-based train control(CBTC) , passenger information system(PIS) , tunnel, mines and large building complexes etc. It is urgent to prepare a general specification for leaky waveguides.
