This European Standard establishes general principles for the execution, testing and monitoring of Artificial Ground Freezing (AGF) works.
The following applications of AGF covered by this standard are:
• Civil works (tunnels, shafts, retaining walls, plugs, underpinning …)
• Environmental works (remediation, cut-off walls, …)
This European Standard does not cover:
• permafrost
• seasonal frost
• mining applications.
As suggested in decision 6/2021, this subject is proposed to registration as PWI. This is the same subject as PWI 00288028, cancelled in February 2022, because of lack of time. Members from 6 different countries are already registered in this WG.
