Revision of EN 13880-4 Hot applied joint sealants - Part 4 - Test method for the characterisation of heat resistance

Scope

This document describes a method for characterising the resistance against elevated temperature on samples of hot applied joint sealants according to EN 14188-1 by comparing the cone penetration and resilience values before and after exposure.

Purpose

The description of the test procedure has been modified to clarify the performance of the test which now proves to be multi interpretable leading to errors in its application.
