Scope

The document specifies requirements for the approval testing of welding procedures for the arc-welding of tube to tube-plate joints in metallic materials by manual, semiautomatic, automatic or mechanized processes. It is a part of a series of standards given in ISO 15607. Annex B gives details of these standards. Approval by tube to tube-plate joints tests can be used for all joints even if they are fully loaded or only seal welded as required in application standards.

Purpose

RECOMMENDATION 2/2021

The members of ISO/TC 44/SC 10/WG 5 recommend a revision of ISO 15614-8 based on the comments received at the systematic review. The scope will remain unchanged, the project leaders will be Walter Sperko and Arjan Roza. The development track will be 36 months. WG 5 ask that SC 10 circulate the proposal for resolution by correspondence.
