ISO/TC 86/SC 6 N726 ISO/NP 19967-2 (Ed 2) Heat pump water heaters -- Testing and rating for performance -- Part 2: Part 2 Heat pump water heaters for space cooling and/or heating

Scope

This ISO 19967-2 specifies the performance testing, standard conditions and the test methods for determining the capacity and efficiency rating of heat pump water heaters for space cooling and heating. Previous version was covered only heat pump water heater for space heating. This will be revised to include heat pump water heaters for space heating and/or cooling.

This standard does not apply to any chiller or liquid chilling package for space cooling.

Purpose

The purpose of this standard is revised to add the testing and rating for cooling performance of heat pump water heater to previous ISO 19967-2:2019. Heat pump water heater used reversible cycle for heating and cooling. Heat pump water heater has already been used for water heating and space heating using hot water. These days heat pump water heater has a cooling function or optional function. Space cooling of this product is remarkably similar to space cooling of air source heat pumps or chillers. However, it is not equal for operation method, usage, testing method of heat pump water heater. Through the revision of this standard (ISO 19967-2:2019), various functions(cooling) of heat pump water heaters will contribute to energy reduction used for cooling and heating.
