ISO/IEC NP TS 13211-3 Information technology -- Programming languages -- Part 3: Definite clause grammar rules

Scope

This Technical Specification will refer to the existing standard of the programming language Prolog ISO/IEC 13211 and extend it with syntax, built-in predicates, grammar rules, and related terminology.

Purpose

To provide a reference for existing practice of Definition Clause Grammars in current Prolog systems and enable the eventual standardization of this functionality in a future revision of the Prolog standard itself. With the help of this Technical Specification end-users will obtain a precise reference which will also improve the quality of program development tools such as analysers, debuggers and diagnostic programs.
