BS XXXX Provision of labour in the security and events sector – Code of Practice

Scope

Provision of Labour in the Security and Events Sector covers all labour provision provided to contractors operating in the regulated security and events sectors.

The standard provides guidance on the selection, training, terms and conditions of the personnel. The sale of the service, contracts, operations, and documentation required for the provision of labour in the security and events sector.

The term ‘labour provision’ used in this Code of Practice applies to activities which are described as follows:

‘Bought-in-labour, licensed or unlicensed, employed and/or supplied by a third-party provider to temporarily supplement the contractor’s own workforce.

When deployed, bought in labour operates under the direction and control of the management of the contracting company (and not the labour provider).

The provider is the organisation providing the labour; the contractor is the organisation deploying the labour’
