Scope

This European Standard specifies an instrumental method for the routine determination of pH in a suspension of soil improvers or growing media.

NOTE The requirements of the standard may differ from the national legal requirements for the declaration of the products concerned.

Purpose

Appropriate analytical methods are necessary to check the conformity of CE marked soil improvers and growing media to the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2019/1009. This European Standard is a revision of an already existing European standard. The method for the determination of pH needs to be standardised in the framework of the standardisation request M/564 to CEN/TC 223.
