The method allows continuous monitoring with permanently installed measuring systems of SO2 emissions.
This International standard describes extractive systems and in situ (non-extractive) systems in connection with a range of analysers that operate using, for example, the following principles:
— infrared absorption (NDIR);
— Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy;
— laser spectroscopic technique or tunable laser spectroscopy (TLS);
— ultraviolet absorption (NDUV);
— differential optical absorption spectroscopy (DOAS);
— ultraviolet fluorescence (UVF);
Other instrumental methods can be used provided they meet the minimum requirements proposed in this International Standard. AMS based on the principles above has been used successfully in this application for the measuring ranges described.
At the 40th meeting of TC 146/SC 1 on 29 September 2020 at virtual meeting, Japanese expert presented the idea for new work item: Revision of the ISO 7935:1996. The revision will focus on correction of the data of the automated measuring systems with several kinds of analytical instrument. The presentation at the meeting was well received by ISO/TC146/SC1. It was resolved that Japan will provide NWIP draft for NP ballot by March 2021. Dr. Takashi Ibusuki will be the project leader and the project will follow SDT 36 months. This project will be developed under WG 34. (Resolution 14 of Resolution of 40th meeting of ISO/TC 146/SC 1(N 1379))
NWIP with a preliminary working draft is prepared by Japan. A working draft is prepared and attached here. The data as shown in the draft will be increased and modified when more data can be provided from other member countries.
