With increasing numbers of dental implant surgeries and growth of related industries, use of dental implant surgical guide is also on the rise. Dental implant surgical guide is an implant instrument that is designed and produced following the diagnosis of implant placement and placed on the patients’ oral cavity for accurate drilling and placement of dental implant(s). Safety and performances related to the dental implant surgical guide is very important as they are linked to the accuracy and safe placement of dental implant which would subsequently linked to patient safety and success of implant surgery. Following the CIB ballot that ended in 26th of February, 2021 (ISO/TC 106/SC 4, N document 1326), it was agreed by CIB voting for the NWIP of this project.
