Find out what cookies we use and how to disable themThe final validation step during standardization of an analytical method is the evaluation of performance through an interlaboratory trial. By the ILT it shall be demonstrated that a new method is fit for purpose.
This guidance document shall assist project leaders or appointed organizers of interlaboratory trials within ISO/TC 147/SC 2 in designing and organizing international interlaboratory trials for validation of analytical methods.
An SC2-internal guidance document on designing interlaboratory trials for validation of standardized methods is already available. However, since it has not been published officially, it cannot be cited and user of standardized methods cannot be informed about the procedures of validation of the standard methods.
The TS should be used in designing and organizing the prenormative work as well as the final interlaboratory trial, to evaluate the performance of the method.
