Scope

This document specifies requirements for burglar resistant pedestrian doorsets, windows, curtain walling, grilles and shutters when integrating mechatronic and electronic systems. The requirements set in this document shall be used together with EN 1627.

Purpose

There is a need for an EN standard for burglar resistant pedestrian doorsets, windows, curtain walling, grilles and shutters with integrated and connected mechatronic and electronic systems.

The common use of such products and systems is not covered by the existing EN 1627. EN 1627 have references to building hardware standards, CEN TC 33/WG4.
