ISO/TC 71/SC 8 N 147, ISO/PWI 13315-5 Environmental management for concrete and concrete structures -- Part 5: Execution of concrete structures

Scope

The proposed standard provides the principles and procedures of environmental management related to execution of concrete structures.

Purpose

Construction works of concrete structure cause a variety of environmental impacts. These include, for instance, consumption of resources by the input of materials to concrete structures; consumption of fuels and electric power due to construction and transportation; emission of global warming or polluting substances, and generation of noise and vibration.

An international standard is therefore necessary to reduce such environmental loads during the construction works. The proposed standard provides a procedure to appropriately carry out environmental management related to construction works of concrete structure.
