Scope

This standard ISO 1151-8 deals with the concepts and quantities characterizing some classes of aircraft motion and their fundamental dynamic characteristics.

The general concepts defined in this standard are applicable to the atmospheric flight phase.

Purpose

It is necessary to update the part of the standard as the previous edition was issued 1992.

Part 8 of ISO 1151 is important for clear understanding of other Parts of ISO 1151 by setting the basic concepts and quantities used in the study of the dynamic behaviour of the aircraft.

New edition includes additional items and renewed graphic materials (drawings and explanations).
