This Technical Specification establishes the detailed test procedures for conducting the test on the plenum and air extract ducts.
It will allow European test laboratories to gain experience in the duct fire test and ensure the results are repeatable and reproduceable. The plenum and duct fire test is an important part of proving that any kitchen fire protection system will achieve the design aim and confirm that fire can not spread from the point of origin, i.e. the kitchen equipment.
