Scope

The proposed deliverable specifies a test method for the determination of ethanol and hydrocarbon content (2 to 100% v/v) in fuel ethanol and gasoline blends by volumetric test method.

Purpose

Fuel blends of gasoline and ethanol and ethanol fuel are widely used around the world. For proper fuel quality assurance, it is important to determine ethanol and hydrocarbon content. A volumetric test method is an expeditious procedure that permit the user to obtain a fast result, with a low-cost apparatus.
